Professional orchestra designed to develop and enhance the skills required to accompany musical theatre productions that include the performance of overtures, interludes, and backgrounds suitable for solo, group, and ensemble presentations occurring on a theater stage. The ability to follow a conductor from a recessed orchestra pit in front of the stage is emphasized and is a major requirement for orchestra members.
